This book was first published in 1943 and now re-published in 2009 by Borderland Books. This attractive new volume was designed by Madison, Wisconsin book-designer Ken Crocker. The cover art is a drawing I modeled from old photographs taken during Andrews expeditions in the Gobi desert.
